The Australian Equine Institute and our Certificate III in Horse (Riding Handling and Behaviour) came about after a long search to find a course that recreational riders could attend that would not only give them the knowledge on how to start out in the equine industry but also to enhance the knowledge and skills of current riders and obtain a national Qualification.
Every other industry has Nationally Accredited training for new comers in their industries so we got together with experts from every horse discipline and horse riding clubs imaginable and asked them what do they want in the course.
Four years later we now have the best and most up to date information and training to gain knowledge on how to ride, what to feed and how to look after our four legged friends.
Intercept Group and the Australian Equine Institute(AEI) have come together with accredited horse trainers and assessors from all over australia to bring you the best quality education and training available in the country approved by the Australian Akills Quality Authority.
Not only was this course designed for riders in mind but a big part of it was designed for non-riders, mums and Dads, who have the tasks of buying a pony and no idea how to feed it, bridle or saddle it let alone make it safe for their children.
So with all this in mind we now have a course for all horse enthusiasts from the beginner through to intermediate and the non-riders.
Over the next few years we intend to also bring you many clinics for first aid for horses, how to load on floats, feeding, and extend on our Certificate III courses to the higher end Certificate IV Horse Management.
So have a look at the units of competencies we have designed, the training we offer and the trainers involved and see what we can do for you.
AEI had just completed a state of the art lecture theatre with full surround sound, smart TV, internet access and come complete with air conditioning for those hot days or cold nights whilst learning at our Institute.
We had 40 degree heat on the weekend and we are now prepared for all types of weather in our new training rooms. Our clinic participants last weekend loved it and so will anyone else who comes here to learn.
Next clinic is Feb 22nd & 23rd so book in for a great weekend of learning our Health and Safety procedures for your equine buddy and ride away with a national qualification. May just save a horse or a human some pain by having the valuable knowledge on this very important unit.
Loads of riding in our indoor arena to boot! Book early to save disappointment!
